Umi Sinha’s highly acclaimed novel, Belonging, was short listed for the Author’s Club Best First Novel Award. Sharon Otoo, former Brightonian, won the Ingeborg Bachmann prize with short story Herr Gröttrup Sits Down, which she wrote in German and tells the story about the rocket scientist who worked for the Nazis, then the USSR.
