The demise of the novel may have been greatly exaggerated. Meet the authors who are breathing fresh life into the form, experimenting with language and voice to find new ways of delighting and challenging readers.

Una is a graphic novelist whose book Becoming Unbecoming is a devastating personal account of gender violence told in graphic-novel form, set against the backdrop of the 1970s Yorkshire Ripper man-hunt, and published by Myriad in September. She joins Paul Kingsnorth, author of The Wake, long-listed for the Man Booker Prize 2014, and Max Porter,  author of Grief is the Thing With Feathers.
