Jade Sarson and Nye Wright at Brighton Digital Festival

Jade Sarson, author of For the Love of God Marie!, joins fellow Myriad graphic novelist Nye Wright (Things to do in a Retirement Home Trailer Park), at Paper Versus Pixels – an event at the University of Sussex as part of Brighton Digital Festival.

Paper Versus Pixels: comics, digital media and their mutant offspring, is an evening of talks about comics, in print, on screen, and just about everything in between. Comics creator Jaime Huxtable, who was inspired by his recent experience illustrating for the app Think Like Churchill, has invited fellow cartoonists to share their thoughts at the University of Sussex, with the support of the Sussex Humanities Lab, which aims to develop new forms of the digital humanities.

Jade Sarson, whose debut novel For the Love of God Marie! will be published by Myriad in 2016, will be presenting her work and challenging the stigma that digital art is easy. Nye Wright will be in conversation with Sequential App’s Editorial Director, Chloe Pursey, about the conversion of his graphic novel Things To Do in a Retirement Home Trailer Park into an ebook.

Jade and Nye will be joined by Alex Fitch and David Lloyd. To book tickets, please register on eventbrite, as spaces are limited. For more information, visit Brighton Digital Festival.
