S.V Berlin joins Elly Griffiths and Rachel Joyce for a lively afternoon of discussion.
S.V. Berlin shares her compelling literary debut The Favourite. Exploring the dark heart of family and sibling rivalry, this beautifully written, sometimes sad, often funny novel, was an Elle ‘Book of the Month:Books to Devour’ selection.
Elly Griffiths is the celebrated author of two crime series. The Dr Ruth Galloway Mysteries feature a forensic archaeologist, and the Stephens and Mephisto novels are set in the 1950s Brighton, her latest being ‘The Vanishing Box’. Elly won the 2016 Crime Writers Association ‘Dagger in the Library’ Award presented to a “living author who has given the most pleasure to readers”. Her real name is Domenica de Rosa, author of four earlier novels about Italy, family and identity.
Rachel Joyce is the author of international bestsellers ‘The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry’ (long listed for the Man Booker Prize, translated into 34 languages), ‘Perfect’ and ‘The Love Song of Miss Queenie Hennessy’. She is an award winning writer of over 30 plays and adaptations for BBC Radio 4 and a short story collection. Rachel’s latest novel is ‘The Music Shop’ a beautiful tale of learning how to listen and how to feel, about second chances and choosing to be brave despite the odds.
