Myriad author Lizzie Enfield will be reading from her award-winning short story ‘The Catch’ at Speaky Spokey on 22 May at the Latest Music Bar, Brighton.

In 2014, Lizzie Enfields short story ‘The Catch’ was runner-up in the Kingston University Bonnie Greer Short Stories to Read Aloud Competition. The competition celebrates writers whose work is entertaining when read aloud as well as on the page.

Lizzie Enfield will be reading from ‘The Catch’ for Speaky Spokey, a regular Brighton night of performance and spoken word. She will appear alongside Adrian Augier, Gareth E. Rees, the Shakespeare Heptet and Burt Caesar.

Lizzie Enfield’s latest novel, Living With It, published by Myriad in 2014, looks at the controversial MMR vaccine and explores the hearts and minds of ordinary people as they struggle to come to terms with the choices they’ve made.
