Woman's Hour this week

The Cloths of Heaven is the Radio 4 Woman’s Hour Drama every day this week (Monday 15th – Friday 19th March) at 10.45am, repeated at 7.45pm. Author Sue Eckstein has distilled the novel into five gripping episodes: British diplomat Daniel Maddison, on his first posting to West Africa, is looking for life beyond the ex-pat cocktail parties – and surprised to find his past catching up with him. Directed by BBC's Bruce Young (centre), the cast includes Ruth Gemmell (Rachel) and Matthew Pidgeon (Daniel) pictured here.

Quick Fictions at the University of Sussex

Myriad is proud to be supporting Quick Fictions, a night of short fiction (every story under 300 words) organised at the University of Sussex by Nicholas Royle, author of Quilt.

Glasshopper selected for 'Exclusively Independent'

Isabel Ashdown's novel will feature alongside nine other books from independent publishers in Legend Press' innovative Exclusively Independent promotion throughout London's independent bookshops and libraries this month. Now in its third printing, Glasshopper was listed in The Observer as one of the best débuts of 2009 and chosen by Juliet Nicolson in the London Evening Standard as one of her favourite books of the year.

People's Book Prize
