Myriad is proud to be supporting Picture This: Postcards and Letters Beyond Text, a conference hosted by the University of Sussex which invited all who are interested in letters and postcards to come together to consider them from a range of critical perspectives, and through creative practice. The Postcards Competition – an innovative mixed-media competition – was one of the highlights of the three day conference. The varied postcard entries feature poems, short stories, original artwork, photos and humorous collages. The entries were judged, in correspondence, by the novelist Nicola Barker, whose latest book Burley Cross Postbox Theft is a comic novel told in letter form.
