The Penguin Atlas of Human Sexual Behavior

This enthralling global profile of sexuality and sexual practice offers new insights into many of today's most controversial subjects, including: human genetics (is our sexuality programmed?); cloning; puberty; infertility; sexual problems; pornography and censorship.

Drawing on the most recent findings in biology, psychology, and social anthropology, this atlas shows how sexual practices and social attitudes are determined as much by nationality, ethnicity, and religion as by age and gender. Indeed, public reaction to certain sexual behaviors is powerful but rarely constant. This remarkable survey of human sexual behavior around the world reveals intriguing differences - as well as some surprising similarities - from country to country and between different cultures.
